Peak-Trough Screen
The high testosterone level after an injection is called the Peak and the low testosterone level right before your next injection is called the Trough.
Managing injected testosterone's fluctuation (high and low between injections) is key to becoming symptom free (dialed-in) and living your best life.
The two key things that influence testosterone's fluctuation are:
Dose: How much you take per injection (mg)
Frequency: How often you take that injection

Free Testosterone Screen
Free Testosterone (Free T) is generally regarded among physicians as best correlated to true androgenic state. What this means for TRT is that your Free Testosterone level, and it's fluctuation, play a major role in how you feel.

Steady-State Screen
Anytime beginning or adjusting a prescription of injected Testosterone, the medication takes approximately 6 to 8 weeks to completely stabilize in the body. During this time it's very common to experience unwanted side effects. When Loading Doses are utilized, the Testosterone level stabilizes immediately, however, other hormones still need time to adjust to the new Testosterone level.
By utilizing a Loading Dose before a change to Testosterone Cypionate or Enanthate, the medication is immediately put into steady-state and causes a far more rapid stabilization of the testosterone level. Despite this rapid stabilization, the additional hormones that also change based on your new testosterone level will likely still take 6-8 weeks.
